Vintage V100
This is a cracking single cut, set neck guitar from the Vintage range. I like these because they are well made and very affordable. This model is a favourite - the humbuckers give a full, powerful tone and the finish is a Cherry Sunburst (and a stunningly grained cap as well). This one plays really well - and is packaged with a gig bag. Normally they are £239

Hutchins Page II Double Neck

Double necks are proper guitars. This has a playable size and feel - much smaller than is progenitor - and is reasonably light. A decent sound from both necks - the six string has loads of power, and the twelve is very playable. A good instrument and complete with case is great value.

Vintage VR-100

This is a favourite here, a very simple guitar with such a great sound, belying its price. The build quality is superb and the neck just sits in the hand. The Wilkinson P90 gives perfect grunt for this style. It makes a good backup, detuned, or slide guitar (it is brilliant for slide, through a gritty amp). Usually £199, this is on special and a bargain.

Gould Single Cut

A great starter guitar, quite lightweight, yet with a decent tone. Balances well, with a comfortable neck - and smashing value, complete with carrying bag and strap.

Squier Standard Series Strat

This is a great example of Squier's standard range in a classic Sunburst finish with a good neck and a classic "vibe" - feel is everything. A good guitar that would do most jobs required - from a first decent instrument, a Strat for your recording set up, backup on stage, or just because you want one. Super value complete with a gig bag - these are usually £229.

Squier Delux Strat Daphne Blue

An excellent guitar, with a beautiful neck - it plays like an instrument four times its price. A lovely looker it has Duncan Designed pickups to give it the tone to match. Finished off with quality hardware this is a very, very good buy. Usually £269 I've got it at a great price - and that includes a gig bag.

Squier Classic Vibe Duo-Sonic 50's

This is a little beauty from the new Classic Vibe range from Squier - reproducing the guitars you could only previously get with an enormous bank balance. Wonderfully made and great to play this spikes its way along quite nicely with a unique feel and sound. Good for finding new sounds, but also as a lightweight instrument for smaller framed people - or if you're just feeling lazy. Normally £269, I'm also supplying a gig bag in the price. Great value.

Hamer Sunburst Series
These are some of our favourite instruments. They feel and sound great and the necks are very playable. For me, they tick all the boxes for a good guitar, especially for their low price. I have two in stock at the moment, one in the classic sunburst finish, and one in a translucent purple (very nice, more tasteful than it sounds). The sunburst finish has a very smooth feel, while the purple rocks a bit harder. Great value, complete with a gig bag

Vintage AV3
This is one of the new Vintage Advance range in a semi-solid style. The Vintage range is always good value but these are particularly impressive, with a great feel from the neck, and fantastic tone from the solid maple capped body. The pickups are stacked, with a coil tap to give a huge range of sound, for any style. A fantastic instrument normally £399

Hamer Sunburst Series
This is one of our favourite guitars here. They have great balance and playability - far better than their price suggests. This particular one is the P90 equipped Gold Top, giving a full rich Rock'N'Roll tone. I've even set it up with 11 gauge Power Slinky strings for tone and some "thump" (Technical Term). An excellent guitar, complete with its own gig bag.

Maverick F4 SPECIAL OFFER

This is a stunning buy. The Maverick F4 was a rock guitar for grown ups - non locking trem and a great neck, a bit thicker than the speed palyer's ones. An almost perfect guitar for classic rock. A good general purpose instrument too, as the build quality is Maverick's usual second-to-none. Unfortunately Maverick were the victims of the saturated guitar market so this £629 instrument can be yours somewhat cheaper. one of my serious bargains.

Fender Lonestar Strat

This is the latest version of the classic Fender Lonestar - one of the best selling Strats ever. A swift, comfortable neck couples with the Seymour Duncan Pearly Gates Plus humbucker to give a Power Strat with character. Lovely. 'Nuff said.

Fender Roadhouse Strat

One of the new range of Fenders, these have very comfortable modern necks with higher output Texas Special pickups. Blues all over. This one has a particularly nice neck - it plays just too well. A really good Strat in a smart Arctic White finish. Good value complete with a gig bag.

Fender 60's Classic Player

These are a Mexican made Strat, based on some of the most popular variations requested from the Custom Shop. This gives a classic 60's shape Strat with a modern profile fingerboard for ease of playing - and custom wound pickups for a stunning Vintage/Modern sound. The hardware is excellent, with a two-point trem for accurate bending. All told a beautiful guitar. Normally £499 and complete with a gig bag.

Jackson JS-1 SPECIAL OFFER

A good little bargain, courtesy of my Fender rep. This is a smart Dinky, in a nice metallic blue with a very fast slim neck. It really plays too well for the price. Sounds good too. One of those offers you don't turn down and I'll even add a gig bag.

Jackson Dinky JS30
Another from Jackson's stripped down range, this is the classic Dinky (basically a modernised, more comfortable Strat style) shape, in a basic fixed bridge format. This one has a cracking neck, slick and fast, with a pair of Jackson humbuckers. The tone is full and biting, with enough power to get the amp working. With heavier strings it would be a great down-tuned beast. complete with gig bag.

Jackson DK2M SPECIAL OFFER
This is one of the most popular Dinky variants. A high quality Japanese made guitar with a decent Floyd, and a pair of genuine Seymour Duncan humbuckers - the classic JB & Jazz layout. This is coupled with a superb neck with, unusally, a maple fingerboard. This gives a bright, punchy, versatile guitar with superb playability for rock, but also most other styles. A fantastic instrument normally priced reasonably at £479

Jackson Kelly JS30

This is one of the basic models in the Jackson range, but it still has loads of quality - these guitars are very well made for their price, with good necks and a full sound from the twin humbuckers. Tuned down they grunt properly, and will still wail on the high frets. A very good rock guitar. The price includes a Jackson gig bag - worth far too much - as these shapes are impossible to case at the moment.

Jackson King V JS30

This is the popular 'V' shape in the JS30 range. It balances suprisingly well, and is very comfortable due to its light weight. The tone is big and powerful and will fill the Rock niche with panache. I'm including the excrutiatingly expensive Jackson gig bag in the price - you find something to fit it otherwise. This makes a great value outfit.

Gretsch Electromatic 5120 SPECIAL PRICE - NEW OFFER
This is from Gretsch's Electromatic range, a well made more affordable selection from their extensive range of designs. These are classic hollow body styles, complete with Bigsy tremolo and US DeArmand pickups. These pickups give a rich hot sound and the responsiveness of the body allows for a wide variety of tones - from Country to Rock and back again - while preserving the uniquely Gretsch character. The neck has a comforably classic profile, sitting nicely in the hand, and the full body is not too big when sitting or standing. All told a very good guitar. These usually sell for £699, but I have picked up a white one from the 'Bumped&Bashed' department. This has a slight laquer crack on the back - the wood is sound - right where a belt buckle would be. Gretsch Electromatic Corvette SPECIAL OFFER
This is a new model for Gretsch, a solid body, compact double cut with the classic Gretsch Filtertron/Bigsby layout. The pickups are US DeArmond and bite through the solid body, with a potent, surprisingly cutting tone to give any style some character. The neck is very comfortable, with a very slightly shorter scale length for easy bending and hours of extended play. It feels very vintage, and at the same time sits well tonally in more modern guitar styles. It feels great, in other words - and the Bigsby trem gives just the right amount of 'wobble' (Technical Term). Normally £499

Gretsch Electromatic 5120 Double Cut

A new model from the electromatic range, this has a slightly thinner body, giving loads of bite from those hot pickups. The neck is beautiful, really comfortable and playable and the whole package just screams quality (and screams for real through a poky amp - what a sound). Really impressive.

The junior in the range, this is still a decent guitar, very comfortable with a classic vintage tone belying the price. A very comfortable guitar to play and superb value.

Gretsch Electromatic Pro Jet SPECIAL OFFER
One of Gretsch's affordable range, this is a powerful guitar, loaded with the US DeArmond pickups for 'Grunt' ( Technical Term). The body has tone chambers, giving a more colourful tone, with the famous Bigsby Horseshoe trem system for a more characterful wobble (another Technical Term). The neck sits nicely in the hand, being a more vintage shape, but still enables accurate bending. Very nice. Overall this is a good instrument with a lot of character for many different styles of music. Normally a very reasonable £399

Gretsch Chet Atkins SPECIAL OFFER
This is a classic Gretsch design with single coils, hollow body and a Bigsby trem. The neck is small, sleek and comfortable - this is a real player's guitar, light and easy whether sitting or standing. A lovely instrument, the tone surprises with a dark snarl, a beefy sound that almost shouldn't come from something so nice. The resonance from the body gives a lovely roundness, most evident when combining both pickups and rolling the tone back a little. All sorts of sounds flow from the body, from classic Country to a bluesy bite to a surprising rock lead. A truly great instrument - with excellent build quality and a good hard case. Usually £2099

Gretsch White Falcon SPECIAL OFFER
A true guitar classic, this is the famous White Falcon - complete with Filtertron humbuckers, a Bigsby trem and plenty of gold trim. The neck is nicely rounded, still slim but fitting in the palm very well, with a comfortable feeling fingerboard giving a very responsive action. The body is a nice size - big enough for tone but small enough for comfort - and the whole guitar 'sits' nicely. The tone is where the real treats start - those are powerful humbuckers. They bite and snarl, forcing the amp to drive into a Rockabilly sound, then back off to Country, then the neck rolls down into a rich blues tone. You can even rock out on it - just watch the feedback, it's a beautiful tuneful howl, but it is a howl. I have to say that I put it through a Blackstar combo, and it is probably the World's best slide guitar - this instrument is just so responsive to playing nuances. Usually £2199 it's on offer at the moment, complete with its hard case and a Gretsch strap.

Indie Designer Union Jack SPECIAL PRICE

Another cracker from Indie, this is a classic design, with a classic design on it! A fine instrument with loads of character this has the good full tone a guitar of this type should have, without that nasal edge some fall victim to. Really nice to play, it's been set up with GHS 10.5 Dave Gilmour strings. And why not. It's on a good deal too.

Indie IPR

This is another of the new Indie range - a modern classic design with a beautiful neck. This has a biting tone with a lot of depth, and plays like a guitar twice the price. This is a great value instrument, and is built well enough for any job - it'll handle gigging easily. And it looks so nice too. Brilliant value, and on a good day I'll include a hard case within the price.

Indie 'The Shape'

This one you have to try - the picture doesn't do it justice. The Ocean finish is a lovely matt turquoisy-blue which just suits the shape perfectly. The neck sits in the hand like it belongs there, and the balance is almost perfect. The tone is just what you want, with plenty of versatility - and the guitar backs down on the volume well for the subtle stuff. A lovely instrument, this is something of a bargain. I will include a case with this - it deserves it.

Indie Super T

A great introduction to the Indie range, this is a more classic design - with a twist - and makes a good, versatile instrument for any style. There is plenty of power in the bridge pickup, and the neck pickup has a classic character. The neck is nice and full, more modern than expected, allowing a greater range of playing styles. This is again a well made instrument, and I've set it up with 10-52 strings, which are my favourite for this style. Complete with gig bag.

Indie Custom 'Shape' SPECIAL OFFER

A particularly characterful guitar from Indie this sings. The combination of the tone chamber and the pickups gives it a rich, quite different sound. It plays nicely and has fine balance, especially on a strap. A striking high quality instrument. Yes, we know what it looks like....Built with Indie's usual high quality, with a well shaped neck and a great sound with plenty of bite along with a woody warmth. This is a very good value guitar in a hard to find design.

Indie 'The Shape'

Indie's own design, rendered in natural finish - light, comfortable plays like a dream, sounds like your favourite Strat on steroids, hangs perfectly round the neck - I love this guitar. Built to a high standard it's a winner. Sounds great, feels better. Perfect. I'm just trying to find an excuse to buy one, and I think I've run out of hyperbole.

Indie Semi

This is a classic design with an Indie twist - a genuine 'Play Faster' stripe. This guitar has a good soild 'crunch' to it as you'd want, and plays very well. Good hardware and tone for a very reasonable price. As a one-off, I've packaged this with a decent hard case. 'Cos I can.

Peerless Tonemaster

A new range for us, these are superbly buillt hollow body electrics with a solid pedigree. Stunning to play with a great tone, these guitars represent some of the best value we have. They give nothing away to their far more expensive competitors. Brilliant value - and they currently include a free hard case.

Peerless New York

This is a little beauty, a classic toned jazz guitar with a supremely playable neck. The pickup is full and colourful with a deceptive bite (try it through a Fender Pro Junior for some wailing blues). The whole guitar is musically a treat. Complete with a free hard case, this is stunning value. I like it a lot.

Fender USA Standard Strat Red

This is a nice US Strat in the new Chrome Red finish with a Rosewood fingerboard. The neck is slim and fast - a bit more 'modern' than the white one. Very comfortable. Tonally it's very rich, with all the classic sounds you need. Very nice, complete with hard case.

Fender USA Standard Strat White SPECIAL PRICE

A classic. This is the USA built Stratocaster that we all know and love (Les Paul fans aside). This particular instrument is in Olympic White with a maple fingerboard - lovely - and has that 'vibe' you need. It has a great neck and is very resonant, giving a lively, rich tone from the three single coils. This is one of the latest upgraded Strats and has a good 'feel' in the hand. Complete with the new hard case, which is very nice. Normally £799 this is a great price.

Peerless Port Town SPECIAL OFFER

This is another Peerless Jazzer, in a more simple style, again with loads of character. The tone is more brittle and biting than the New York, lending itself unbelievably well to traditional blues. Fantastic value. (This is Dug's favourite, but I prefer the New York - and I'm right). Complete once again with a free hard case. This is normally £429 but it's Summer, so I've rounded it down.

Peerless Electra

The most basic Peerless, this holds its own as a straightforward instrument with tone and character, but few frills. In a classic orange finish this begs to be played - and it rocks nicely. Incredible value for this quality, it even comes with the hard case.

Peerless Sunset

This is a thinline Peerless with a great bluesy tone. The thinner body makes it very comfortable to play and gives a bit more bite to the pickups - while still being hollow for the character. Like all Peerless it is beautifully built and superb value.

Peerless Fire Fox Standard SPECIAL OFFER

Something a bit different, this is hollow, without the 'F' holes (to control feedback), and gives a rich tone, with a large chunk of bite. The Varitone control gives a surprisingly useful array of tones, which would be a dream for recording. Very nice to play, this guitar is excellent for the price, and includes the hard case as well. Fender Esquire SPECIAL OFFER

The classic '50s Esquire, with a superb, really playable neck and some serious bite from that pickup. The 3-way selector gives you a range of usable sounds and the build quality will stand up to even heavy gigging. An affordable classic. Was £499

Fender Standard Telecaster
These are built at Fender's Mexican plant to a high standard of quality with a relatively low price. In many ways this is my favourite way to get a Fender nowadays - they are great guitars, and the price allows you to add top-notch pickups at a later date. This guitar is in Nilam Blue (of course) and has a good sound and a very comfortable neck. Normally £399 this is a good buy.

Fender Super Seven Stratocaster

This is another standard Strat - but not. This one has been fitted with a switch to enable seven way switching. This gives two new voices for studio use, and the 'All On' sound is great for live. More fun. The neck is very comfortable, the body has a nice punchy tone and it has been set up so it plays nicely. Complete with gig bag.

Fret King Country Squire Super S SPECIAL OFFER

Fret King are a new line for us, and we've been blown away by the quality. This is their single cut model, with the body routing for comfort a la Jeff Beck. The three single coils rather than two give a full range of tones - still keeping that classic bridge bite. This has a very good neck - it sits and plays like a guitar twice the price - and the tone will cover almost any style. These are guitars made for guitarists, and it shows. Complete with gig bag. Fret King Esprit 3

This was a surprise - I've never been one for 'Shape' guitars, but in the flesh, this balances superbly - visually and literally - and is sooooo comfortable to play you have to re-try it to prove it to yourself. I have never heard such a range of tone from P90s - the B+M position was fantastic for almost anything (through the Blackstar it rates as high as anything I've heard). An amazing instrument, and built to such a high standard. Superb value, and complete with a quality gig bag.

G&L Tribute ASAT Classic Semi-Hollow SPECIAL OFFER

This is a favorite design of mine, and the G&L Tribute does it well. The ASAT is a modern classic, and the tone of this guitar is way beyond its price level. It has a warmth and depth that comes across through whatever amp or effects you use - -partly due to the fact that it uses the same US-made pickups as the top of the range models. And it plays so well, what a neck. Very good value for a professional quality instrument. and I've added a case. Was £575 - a great buy.

This is the double-cutaway Peerless - slightly thinner than the Tonemasters still with the classic Bigsby trem system for that 'wobble' you need. A great neck gives you the feel of a professional guitar, with a rich full tone to match. Wonderful instrument, and great value, complete with a hard case.

G&L Tribute ASAT Special SPECIAL OFFER

This is the affordable version of the ASAT - and one of the fattest, hottest versions of this style I've ever heard - it actually uses the same pickups as the USA models. Plays great and is beautifully made, with an attention to detail usually found in guitars twice the price. Brilliant value normally £525, I've put this one on offer as well - saving £100!
