Jackson JS30 Dinky

Another from Jackson's stripped down range, this is the classic Dinky (basically a modernised, more comfortable Strat style) shape, in a basic fixed bridge format. This one has a cracking neck, slick and fast, with a pair of Jackson humbuckers. The tone is full and biting, with enough power to get the amp working. With heavier strings it would be a great down-tuned beast. Fantastic value at only :

BC Rich Ironbird Pro

This is definitely a ROCK guitar (you even have to type louder). EMG 81 active pickup (one), Floyd Rose trem system (and a good one), fast neck, small, very pointy body, and wood. A spalted maple top, no less. This shouldn't work, but it does - a great looking, very comfortable super playing instrument. You probably wouldn't play jazz on it - although it'll sound good, the small body is surprisingly resonant, and the EMG sings - but what a good guitar. The size and weight make it comfortable for those hours and hours of practising solos. And your soloing poses, of course.

SOLD

Hagstrom Select Swede Blue Chip

Sounds a bit like a menu, but this is a famous brand now available again. These are amazing guitars, blending vintage and modern with ease. I couldn't put this one down, it plays so well - really comfortable and with loads of character. Plugged in it has a bright, powerful sound that skirts 1977 Punk very closely, but can be contolled into any territory with a twitch of the controls. Very impressive. A great guitar at an excellent price - great deal too, the RRP is £575, and I'm including a decent gig bag. Bargain.

£349

Hagstrom Ultra Swede Black

These are slightly unusual guitars - a vintage classic design, with a twist. They are based on some classic '70s designs from the Swedish company, which sit really well with the current guitar world. They give a quite aggressive tone, which can be sweetened up using the coil tap switch. The necks are slim and fast - a joy to play. These are comfortable guitars - they aren't as heavy as some in this style. Importantly the build quality is amazing at this price - altogether they are fantastic value.

£379

Hagstrom Ultra Swede Golden Eagle

These are slightly unusual guitars - a vintage classic design, with a twist. They are based on some classic '70s designs from the Swedish company, which sit really well with the current guitar world. They give a quite aggressive tone, which can be sweetened up using the coil tap switch. The necks are slim and fast - a joy to play. These are comfortable guitars - they aren't as heavy as some in this style. This one is in the Golden Eagle finish and just looks stunning - coupled with the high quality hardware this is brilliant value. Complete with gig bag.

£299

Hofner Club - Special Price

Another classic guitar reintroduced, these are a nice version of the classic Hofner design - hollow bodied like the originals, with good pickups that reflect the old character, but with a bit more power for modern users. An interesting, character filled guitar, that gives something different to the norm. I got a spanking deal on a limited quantity of these - they should be £500! - and this one's been set up, and is complete with a gig bag - an excellent buy.

SOLD

BC Rich Kerry King Signature Wartribe

A professional rocker with EMG 81 and 85 pickups - as well as the active boost circuit - this is a loud guitar, capable of driving amps hard. A very good neck and a truly superb Kahler trem means this handles like a dream, for the most demanding music. This is a pro guitar, usually costing £949, so is a serious deal.

SOLD

BC Rich Eagle One

A very good value instrument - it plays well with full access to the two octave neck. A pair of powerful, 'crunchy' (technical term) pickups will rock well, but also back down for some bluesier stuff. The shape - it seems quite normal for BC Rich - balances well for a very comfortable guitar. Complete with gig bag.

£249

BC Rich Avenge SOB

Brilliant value - as a mate of mine said : "If Batman were in a metal band, that would be his guitar". Couldn't describe it better myself. A decent neck and some serious power from the single humbucker.

£429

BC Rich Kerry King V2

Active pickups. Kahler trem. Two octave neck. Tribal Flame graphics. Fast and furious neck profile. Big headstock. Pointy body. This could not be any more 'metal' if it tried. Sounds fantastic and plays superbly. Brilliant guitar at an amazing price.

£479

BC Rich Gunslinger Retro

It's 1985 all over again. A stunning neck, high output pickup and an excellent Floyd makes a proper rocker. Super value (RRP £539) this sounds and plays like a guitar twice the price. Oh, and it's green. Very green. Complete with gig bag. And have I mentioned the guitar is green. Very green.

£399

BC Rich Dark Arts Warlock

Love the name - Dark Arts sums this up. An out and out rocker, with power and cut, this will go from metal to classic rock easily. A decent Floyd keeps it in tune and the neck is fast but meaty for control. These are normally £519, but I've got a great deal - and complete with gig bag.

£249

Jackson JS30 Rhoads

Lightweight and comfortable, this is a great value instrument that can be played by anyone. As long as you're standing up. Superb value, complete with a gig bag - these are normally £299.

£399

Schecter V1

A classic V - good mid range focus for solos and a load of power for, well, power chords, provided by a pair of EMG HZ humbuckers. Decently balanced, with a good solid neck you can really dig in to. And it has bat inlays on the fretboard. Cool or what. Special price, complete with a gig bag.

£299

Vintage AV1 P90 Flame Honeyburst

Yum. Sounds good enough to eat. These are one of Trevor's designs, so they have a few little twists. The upper bout cutaway (less pointy bit) has a thumb cut, which looks a little strange at first glance, but in the hand makes the guitar play so easily, you wonder why more makers don't do it. Like all of Trev's innovations it's a player's dream. This is a lovely guitar, the stacked P90s can be rolled back to single coils for a wide range of tones (on full at the neck position, it sings. Hard.). I've put it through the workshop so it's playing nicely -and at the current price this is something of a bargain (the RRP is £429). And it looks pretty too. Complete with a gig bag.

£499

Fender FSR HH Strat

This is a Factory Special Run Strat from Fender, which means it's in a non standard colour in very limited quantities. If that isn't interesting enough, it's been my experience that FSRs have slightly better necks than standards - I don't know why, they just do. I always try to get them when they're released. This is a twin humbucker Strat - which shouldn't work, but it does - giving a rich range of more powerful tones, but still with pleny of bite. The finish is a wonderful metallic 3-tone sunburst which just shouts class - married to a beautiful maple neck, this is a stunner. Cracking guitar, great sound, just top notch - and affordable too. I like it. Complete with gig bag.

£479

Fender FSR HSS Strat Black

This is a Factory Special Run Strat from Fender, which means it's in a non standard colour in very limited quantities. If that isn't interesting enough, it's been my experience that FSRs have slightly better necks than standards - I don't know why, they just do. I always try to get them when they're released. This one is an HSS Strat, with Fender's bridge humbucker for some serious power, coupled with two single coils for more traditional Strat sounds - and good sounds they are too. This one's special tag is its looks - the black furniture sets off the black finish, and coupled with a stunning neck, this is a classy player. Simple but effective - a real player's instrument, complete with a gig bag.

Fender FSR HSS Strat Sunfire Orange Sparkle

This is a Factory Special Run Strat from Fender, which means it's in a non standard colour in very limited quantities. If that isn't interesting enough, it's been my experience that FSRs have slightly better necks than standards - I don't know why, they just do. I always try to get them when they're released. This one is an HSS Strat in a stunning finish - the flake really stands out - that is rarely seen outside the Custom Shop. You won't be missed wearing this! The looks are coupled with a brilliant Strat with a great neck - set up very low -and a fantastic tone from the pickups. Another great FSR guitar that will stand out from the crowd. Complete with gig bag.

Classic Player Baja Tele

These Classic Players are Mexican built versions of the Master Builder's favourites - what players actually want from their instruments. The Baja Tele is famous for being one of the most comfortable guitars to play that Fender make. This playability is combined with a new switching system - four way lever and S1 switch - to give a huge variety of usable tones from the two pickups. This particular one is no exception - what a neck, so easy and versatile. Quality. Complete with gig bag.

Fender Standard Tele Black

£499

Fender '70s Classic Strat Slight Marks

This is one of the popular '70s Classic Strats - an amalgam of all the best features of the Strats from the era. It has a few marks from the factory, so the finish isn't perfect - but no more than a few months of playing would give it. The neck is brilliant - very comfotable with a great feel and speed. tonally it's got a great combination of body and bite, to allow some digging in with a good valve amp (put through a Blackstar HT5 it sang. Hard.). A good all-round Strat. These are expensive guitars normally (RRP £700ish) so this is a great price for very few blemishes. Complete with gig bag.

£499

Standard Strat HSS

The Fender Standard series gives a high quality instrument with loads of character - these guitars sound like a Strat not a copy. This one has a powerful Fender humbucker at the bridge for an increased range of tones. It has a stunning neck, truly outstanding for a guitar of this price and a great range of sounds. Finished in Fender's gorgeous Midnight Wine and with a maple fingerboard. Complete with a Fender gig bag.

£549

Classic Player Tele Deluxe With Trem Few Slight Marks

This is another Classic Player, based on a rare model that has a lot of followers. The combination of Fender Wide-Range humbuckers and a Strat trem system gives a quite unique tone to these - big, open and powerful, but still with a bit of jangle for clean arpeggios. Very popular for Indie Rock styles, and for when some power is needed that doesn't shout 'Metal'. This one was on the wall at a trade show, so it's got a few little marks - but the price makes it a bargain - these often break £750 normally. Complete with gig bag.

£269

£249

Vintage V-100 Gold Top

This is another from the V-100 range, but fitted with P90 single coils and gold top in a classic configuration. This one has a bit more weight, so it growls viciously - the bridge sound on drive will go from Punk through Indie to almost Metal, then back down to Rock'N'Roll, while the neck will solo its way through anything - I like this one. I've set it up, fitted with slightly heavier strings - GHS Dave Gilmour 10.5s - and it really likes them, and is playing well. Bit of a buy in my unbiased opinion (the RRP is £319). Complete with gig bag.

SOLD

Welcome to the electric guitar department. We have a wide variety of instruments, with some quite different ones - I get bored easily. Everything here has been selected for its value and playability. If you need one set up differently, that can be arranged for a reasonable (compared to some) price. We can change strings, actions, wiring etc on site, and can bore for England on the various merits of strings, picks, pickups etc. We carry a very wide range of strings and accessories, and can normally supply any requirement, however unreasonable. We have a good range of amps and effects pedals too, and can bore (again) on their various merits. If you want to try a pedal properly, bring your own amp and guitar.
We also stock cases, bags, straps, straplocks, slides, capos, tuners, machineheads, jack plates, jack sockets, jack leads, jacks, saddles, bridges, nuts, ferrules, string guides, peg winders, lemon oil, polish, cleaner, pick holders, string cutters, Fast Fret, Thumb Picks, humidifiers, Grip Masters........

Hamer Echotone

This is a semi-solid set neck guitar from Hamer, a famous US brand producing a budget range in China (where else?). These guitars are well made, far beyond their price, and feel and sound the way they should. I rate the range highly. This one has a full, classic tone and plays really nicely. The quality of the guitar lends itself to any level and it is packaged with a gig bag at only:
